On reverse, Elva Young wrote about picnics, etc. she attended between 1895 & 1898, before & after her marriage to Wm. Frederick Stolle on 22 Aug 1895. Names of participants to be extracted later, and photos taken of object. In long narrow white box w/gold edges. On bottom of box Elva wrote: "My wedding fan bought of Strawbridge & Clothier's of Philadelphia, June 15, 1895. Married Aug 22, 1895, Thursday, at 8 o'clock" Bought by donor from the estate sale of Vida Stolle Smallwood, her daughter.|
